I had several uncles that served in WW2. One was a medic that went in some time after the initial landings. Another was my uncle Dave that was a tank driver. They went in a few days later. He fought in all the following battles into Germany. I still have and cherish his tank destroyer patch.

The man on the right is my Uncle Ed. Landed on Omaha beach in the third wave. He made landing from Africa to Normandy with the 1st Army division
