Memorial Day Sale

Big discussion at work amongst my colleagues today on how inappropriate this is.

"Memorial Day Sale"

"Celebrate Memorial Day"

In my opinion, this is in EXTREMELY POOR TASTE.

Memorial Day is NOT a day for BBQ's, Parties, and buying a new car. It's a day to honor the Men and Women that died serving our country.

IF those businesses feel they must have a sale, offer it to the vets and current military folks ONLY.

They are the ones who made or are making a sacrifice for our great country.

Somehow it became the unofficial start of summer so I think that's why there are all the "sales".....trust me I would love if the start of summer was when it really is.....this way I would be alone on the beach longer :balls:

When I see the Happy Memorial Day advertising, I've gone as far as sending an email to that business and remind them what's all about. They actually respond back with an apology.
