I hate thieves more than pretty much anything I can think of. I got a call tonight from the "IRS" saying that they had a pending lawsuit against me. We all know the feds don't leave a message on your machine. I just sent the number straight on to the real IRS, and they can investigate it.:issues:

If I was in charge, I would put all these ****ers on death row. Anyone that steals someone's identify should be put to death, but most of these calls are outside the USA.

I think it was Spence that played with them by stating he was an attorney, and before we can continue, I charge $300/hr. Do you have your credit card ready - click.

The problem is all these scammers and robocallers these days spoof their numbers, so you have no idea where they are really calling from.

Rookie :D

We got a phone call "from the IRS" like that and my darling wife Mary answered the phone. She let loose on a paint peeling tirade that would have made a sailor blush. The scammer actually hung up before she was done

I am still proud of her :yesnod:

I already have the answer. Overseas call centers scamming Americans?

Two words: Drone Strikes

Blow up a few call centers, and the word will get out....don't do that anymore.

I no longer answer the phone unless the number is from my contacts list. If it is a legit call, they will leave a message. We moved to Florida from Illinois in late 2017 and 100% of the calls I get from my old area code that are not from my contacts are spam calls

It was a robo call. I wasn't going to fool with calling them back. The feds can do it for me.:seasix:

I tell you what really sucks... I'm now getting spoofed calls at work. What's so bad about that you may ask? Well I work on a military base and the spoofed numbers are legitimate phone numbers for offices on the base!!! So I am FORCED to answer them.

That's actually quite clever.

Annoying AF, but clever. :D

I highly doubt they will do jack shit about it to be honest. It's so prevalent these days...

I can't wait to get one of those calls, I am going to troll the SHIT OUT OF THEM! :Jeff '79:

What needs to be done is identify which countries these calls are coming from then tell them we will hurt them financially until they stop it.

When the "IRS Guy" called me, I thanked him for calling and assured him I'd send him what I owed if he helped me get my refund that was months over due. Kept interrupting him and asking why he called asking for money when the IRS owed me thousands of dollars. I never answer our land line - we get some fun messages. And if it isn't a contact calling I send mobile calls to voice mail.

But I truly miss trolling the "Windows virus" guys. I actually looked forward to them calling.

Yeah, they were great. Quite the temper and what I would assume was swearing in their native language. In their defense, I always started off on the wrong foot by telling them I was standing there with my dick in my hand.

Once told the Windows guy I was very concerned and wanted his help but could he call me back on my land line instead of my cell. Gave him the number of the local FBI office. He called back an we had a fun conversation. :yesnod:
