View Full Version : The OTHER DWI thread.
How many of you have driven under the influence, ever, at any time in your life, and gotten away with it?

A bunch of times back in the 1960s. Drinking age was 18 and many places did not really check. Got stopped a few times, cops would sometimes follow you home if you were not a asshole when they talked with you, or tell you to park it and sleep it off. Sometimes even drive you home and tell you that car had better not move till your dead sober tomorrow!
They would check up on you if they had the time to make sure you complied. Like was much different way back then.
Now much older and smarter, not going to have a problem in a DWI check point!

Literally hundreds of times. Never had an accident, never got caught. I was either good at it or lucky, or some combination of the two. Stopped it 100% the day I bought my '05 Corvette. Mostly stopped it around 1990.

My mom crashed through the guard gate after partying at the Officers Club of Richards Gebaur AFB in the 60's. True Story.
My mom died in '97, but the stories I have heard that she could drink anybody under the table. :Jeff '79:
