Stunning! I love what you did with the woodgrain!

Wormy Maple, aka Ambrosia Maple. the stains are caused by the Ambrosia Beetle boring into the wood.

I would have never thought that there was a market for the bark beetle pine until I saw it for sale when looking for some live edge. Had I known I would have saved some of the wood from the many that I have cut down
i built our entire kitchen using wormy maple. it's quite striking if done well. i think i did ours well.

You built the doors yourself?? damn sweet work man....looks GOOD, in a larger kitchen that darker shade and the character looks GRAND, we don't have that much room, so went with clear maple.....near 30 years ago, I made/remodeled my kitchen up north, was a small kitchen and really small dining room.....blew out the wall, and using a friends wood shop gear in my garage, where he built new cabinets for his kitchen, I had it all set up, so why not?? I used oak , made the formica tops over at my other friends' cabinet shop...:seasix:
Yes.
Designed, built, and installed the whole thing from scratch.
