In Texas you can have hundreds of tickets and still have a perfect driving record with the preferred adjudication. :seasix::cert::seasix:
Not near as many as I should have. Was a street racer in the 60s muscle car era and outrunning the cops was just a fact of life!
Later in life I still drive fast but will pull over if "requested" have been able to talk my way out of most all moving violation tickets. I euphemistically call traffic stops "roadside chats''.:D
I would have to say I was issued about 10 tickets over my driving life!

I have never had a moving violation. I am 43. :wow:
It's not that I haven't deserved a ticket, I am just very careful. There is a time and place to "get on it" and I am generally pretty well behaved behind the wheel. :yesnod:

As near as I can recall, I've had 8 in my ~55 yrs of driving.
One for not wearing my eyeglasses. (restriction on my license) NJ state cop pulled me over for no reason other than I was driving my Elva Courier & he wanted to see what it was, then found I wasn't wearing my glasses. (they were laying on the passenger seat)
One for overdue failed inspection. I was waiting for a parts order; cop didn't want to hear about it.
2 illegal turns; I deserved both.
One going through a red light; I deserved it.
3 for speeding. All 3 were for things like 30 in a 25 zone. One was from a DOD wannabe cop on the Army base where I worked, on a Christmas eve. 28 in a 25, IIRC.
Can't complain too much though; I deserved far more than I got.

Impeding traffic in Imperial Beach, CA - who know you couldn't stop in the middle of the street to let your friends get into the car. :leaving:
Also, 2 speeding tickets. One in San Diego, the other here in Ft. Worth.
...not to mention a few "roadside chats." Thx 6Spd6! :barnbabe:
In my 53 years of driving.....one when I was 20, for speeding. Since first ticket, went to a few classes, was dismissed upon completion.

Have had a couple for speeding through the years. It's a wonder that I didn't get any DWI's because there was a number of times back in the that I no memory of driving home.:cert:

I had SO many tickets in Md. outside DC, a very easy place to get ticketed for even sneezing while driving.....in early '70 a buddy was back in town from his 4 years Navy Med stint....he wanted to head to Tejas I was driving without license, car still had tags though....and a stack of tickets I never did pay....went to Tejas and got my license really easy....no insurance required in them daze....so I drove up north and used his addy in FW Tejas as a mail drop for the .gov types.....married/divorced my first ex by end of '74, still on Tejas tags....went to little rock to stay with my cousin while divorce went through....got an Ark. license, drove on that for a long time, skipping tickets in Tejas and Ark, as well as Md......got my Md license back by surrendering my Ark license, and never paid the past tickets....my buddy said some cops came by looking for me several times, interested in the Md and Tejas ticket accumulations.....he just said I had moved, NLA......
wood NEVER get away with that today in THIS computer world.....
 total amount of tickets paid and unpaid....15-20 maybe.....but NONE involving accidents, let alone my fault......

Started driving in NJ and by the time I was 26 ('94) I had 37 pts on my license and had been suspended 3 times. :leaving:
Been in PA since 1998 and only received 2 minor speeding tickets which the officer and judge agreed to drop to a non-point infraction due to having a perfect driving record.

I had several in my young and foolish days.
1. In 1974, I got my first ticket for speeding in a 1967 VW bug in San Diego. I was going 80+ when the speed limit was 55. Cop was surprised I was able to go that fast in a VW, so he wanted to check out my motor. Ended up being written up for going 70+.
2. In the same car, VW, got 2 fix it tickets for loud exhaust in San Diego.
3. Received a warning in 1983 for a "California stop" in my 1971 El Camino. I saw the cop doing a u turn so I knew I was busted, so I pulled over and waited for him on my drop down tail gate with my license and registration ready. Cop laughed and said "I guess you knew what you did". Got a warning.
4. Received a ticket for not pulling over for an emergency vehicle in Hemet, going the other direction. I was on my 1976 Yamaha RD350 in 1983. There was no room for me to pull over, so I only slowed down, because it was unsafe to pull over with other cars there. Cop did not care and wrote me up. :issues:
After these, I became an old fart and haven't gotten another one. :seasix:

Three minor moving violations in 50 years. Talked my way out of dozens of them. That was during the golden years before the invention of the breathalyzer.:shots::leaving:

I got lucky a few years ago. I decided it would be a good idea to skin it back in the C5 I had at the time on an on ramp to the interstate. Just crossed triple digits when I see a guy stand up next to a car on the side of the interstate. Yup, a state boy. When I saw him stand up beside his car, I mashed the brakes so hard it's a wonder the air bags didn't go off. I just went ahead and pulled over, since there was NO doubt who he was after. He told me the first time he clocked me, I was doing 103, and the second time 83. So, like here, I told him that as soon as I saw him, I mashed the brakes as hard as I could. He literally busted out laughing. I did get a ticket for a non moving violation, and am grateful for it. He could have hauled my ass straight to jail. It was on Christmas eve too, and I knew things were not going to go well for me at home. I was already mentally prepared for the worst.

Something like that happened to me a long time ago. I'm cruising along at night, very light highway traffic out in BFE, Louisiana, radar detector just starts freaking out. I slow down, and saw the car hiding under the bridge. I was pulled over before he even got on the road with his lights. He made sure I wasn't drinking and let me go. There were no exits for miles, so there would have been no place to get away, even if I wanted to.

Seventeen. I was very reckless (and lucky) when I was young. Mostly speeding (78 in 55, 54 in 35, 45 in 30 (actually faster but he was cool), 84 in 65, 81 in 65, 55 in 40, 48 in 30, 87 in 55), stop sign, a few registration (always dropped), no proof of insurance (dropped), failure to yield, one DWI (1991, going through my first divorce) and finally "Vehicle was engaged in a contest of speed (136 mph in 45 mph speed zone)).
I did also manage to talk my way out of a few also. The four speeding and the stop sign were all in the same car and while young and stupid (1976 Camaro Rally Sport at 18/19 in 79/80).
A couple of times I came within a couple of points of losing my license, and it was suspended for a year with the DWI.
I have been involved in five accidents of which only one was my fault (fell asleep and crashed a '79 Monza). Oddly enough three times were in the same Camaro mentioned above.
I believe it was cursed.
