I’d recommend switching to a strap, I’d hate to see that chain break while pulling

Most problems can be solved by the use of dynamite.

Huh. Never heard of a stump bucket before now.

Pretty valuable tool to own. Although so long as he sticks to just those little shrub-like things in the OP he may be ok.

Buster, I Fixt your video link in your post above.

If all he has is little sticks he could get some bolt on pallet forks. They are cheap and handy for many things.:seasix::cert::seasix:

:island14: It's the set up my neighbor has used for years so I went with it

Beer! I'll buy you one beer :datawiz: :D

I'm Not sure what bolt on pallet forks are :island14: I have a set of forklift forks for the tractor already. What I'm using is similar to the clamp used to drag pallets out of a trailer, it just has some knarly teeth on it

The vid was the first time using it so I started small. There are some big ones all around and a lot of them :yesnod:

I think you would be good with the small stuff with the setup you have. Just to easy and watch it.

You can use your forks to dig them out just place them closer together. If you insist on using a chain keep it short. Just think if it is long enough to reach you it can kill you.:sadangel: Sadly I have seen some bad results with your method. :slap: Picture a 30 lbs rubber band between the eyes. :sadangel:

:yesnod: Yep, going easy until I get more confident with the equipment. :seasix: The hospital is an hour away

The forks I have are for lifting, They wont point down to dig. Besides that, a lot of what needs to be clear is on the side of a mountain :seasix:

Suggestions noted on the chain though. I have some big assed straps I can use :seasix:

Sorry to hear that :sadangel:

I'm still new to the equipment so safety is first! I'm not pushing it

Those forks would work if I can get to the brush.

It would be a lot safer to rent a bobcat with tracks with a root grapple. How much land do you need to clear?

Need to clear another acre of two. I want the manzinita out, it's just a big weed

If it is not to steep you might look into a box blade with removable teeth great attachment for a tractor. You can drag them out and grade it to your liking.
