They are beautiful horses! How anyone could simply shoot them is beyond me. I saw them in my City several years ago when the riders put on a show here.

Well many of the German troops including lots of officers were not fanatical Nazis. They were just fighting for their country. I have heard about this before.
Hitler ordered the destruction of Paris but the general in charge did not do it. Sometimes common sense does prevail as these two events prove!
I did not know that. What a great story.

Here is another true story about a German pilot in a Bf 109 who instead of shooting down a crippled B-17 escorted it back to safety. Years later the two pilots meet.:cert:
