GOOD SHOW, little gal, Good Show.......

U 2 old man,

......The below is a note from my son, his boy is 4 y/o and out in Ca. Clay is his name.....email is 3 daze old....

So, the disc brake kit that I'd put on the '57 never did fit right. It was tight on the rotor and didn't want to bolt up at first, I finagled and screwed with it and got it on there - and lo and behold, the pads have always been squeeky and rattly and just generally crap.
With 4,000 miles on the build I got fed up and bought some Wagner ceramics.
Clay and I went down to the barn, I showed him how it all worked, he handed me tools & the light, we got the new pads in & wheels on, took it for a drive and aside from that "new brakes don't stop for shit" feeling in the first hundred yards or so, total success. Whisper quiet, stops pretty good for new stuff. Clay was real pleased, gave me a high five and couldn't wait to tell his mother all about it.
Felt good.
So, not to get all emotional about it, but I wanted to say "thanks" for the can-do attitude about shit that you taught me. It was a good evening with Clay and it wouldn't have happened without you starting the ball rolling with me a few decades ago. I haven't always given you enough credit, man. Life can be harder (I'm thinking of you and mom, and me and wife, loss of jobs, kids, etc) than I appreciated. I'm glad I had you around saying "It ain't rocket science" and showing me that regular guys can get a lot done if you're wiling to try it.
Love you dad.

According to G, in 2007, there were 80,000 applicants for 1,100 internship positions. :faint: Extremely competitive.

Exactly the message I have given my daughter. She gets frustrated hearing this stuff as she's already competitive. (at her private school she is ranked #1 in math and #3 in science)

I remind her that she can do anything she sets her mind to, but so can a host of other kids.

Killer job and congrats to G.A.! She worked for it. :yesnod:

St. Louis, once you get out of the areas like Ferguson, is actually quite nice.

My hometown (out in west St. Louis County)... love it there and I still have family there.
