Well, the doc is going to ram a camera up my dick again tomorrow (I believe a Kodak Instamatic but not sure). They really ****ed me up in the last surgery and we need to see the extent of the damage to my urethra. My schlong is like a frightened turtle.
I have to be under general anesthetic because it’s ****ed up so badly the pain of inserting a catheter is unbearable. Then I get to wear it for 3-4 days :sadangel:
I have attorneys looking into it. I had zero problems before the July surgery in this area. Now I’m in danger of kidney failure since my urethra is slowly closing up from scarring amd my bladder won’t empty causing it to back up into my kidneys. Damn it’s sore.
The urologist will go in and cut some material out and then use a balloon to stretch it. Then place a catheter that stays in for several days (pissing into a bag) ****ing barbaric.
If this doesn’t work, I’ll have to undergo a urethraplasty - they rebuild it using tissue from the inside of your cheek. Horrible, painful surgery.
All from some idiot nurse who kept jabbing a cath in over and over and missing the mark. This was for a hernia surgery that had nothing to do with my piss factory. Apparently my bladder was full and getting in the way for the surgeon.
Then Nurse Ratchet did her number. Now I have yet another challenge.
They say God will never test you beyond what you can handle so I figure this must be the limit.
Now, does that make you boys uncomfortable? Good. Just be thinking of me around Noon tomorrow. The next four days is going to be a real challenge to get through.
Has anyone had an indwelling catheter? I had one for ten days after the July surgery. Ugliest, most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. And I’ve been ****ing shot, chopped off a finger and had six inches of guts cut out.

Here’s hoping for some good news and that things start improving!
Good luck. Hopefully it's a simple operation and goes well, although if it was me, I'd ask them if they could add a couple of inches while they were there.

All the best to you, OP; you've certainly had more than your "fair share" of medical difficulties.
I had a kidney stone adventure 20+ years ago that involved having a catheter coming out of my back into a bag for a week or 2 waiting for lithotripsy (which didn't work). Mostly an annoyance; no pain or discomfort. I eventually needed traditional surgery to remove the stone, and had a catheter up the unit for the week while I was in the hospital. It got uncomfortable at one point, so a kind & gentle young nurse removed & reinstalled it. Her attractiveness was a bonus. She also stood next to me holding the tube & bag while i showered each day. You certainly do relinquish a good bit of your dignity in such situations.
Good luck!

Going in in an hour. It’s amazing that some people don’t seem to have pain with catheter. I’m in agony the entire time.
I’m not whining. Just psyching myself up. My mental game is weak at the moment. I also drank after midnight oh noes! Outdated procedure. Turns out the AMA says almost danger of aspiration but they still say no drinking or eating for 12 hours even though the guideline now is six.
Yet the tell you to take your morning meds. Uh....chew them?

I'm more concerned about the fact that there's another patient named Snik there scheduled for a sex change today. But I'm sure there will be no mix up with the respective surgeries.

Damn. I haven’t checked yet. I’m trying not to move at all. I did notice I have some pretty nice tits now...

I’m on Fentinal, amd hydrocodone and it still hurts at the slightest movement. But that is just from the trauma caused by the procedure.
I’m home now and plan on just staying immobile the next couple of days. It’s moving around that gets you. Pissing blood now but that’s normal. The doc cut the scar and expanded it with a balloon. That causes some trauma.
Another weird thing is they were telling us how to remove it ourselves. :willy: that ain’t happening. I’ll go in Monday and have it yanked.

At least you are home. That's half the battle right there. The hospital is no place to get well. I was surprised they sent you home with a catheter. I remember a time when this was a no-go. Having a catheter meant you stayed in the hospital. Maybe they figure you've turned pro by now. Hang in there and get well, my friend.:seasix:
It costs $ 20 on Jensen Dr. To have it yanked here in Houston.
Takes longer to make sure the professional is 'in network' than it does for the actual job. Easy recovery, may involve a bucket of chicken and a ride to a shitty apartment complex.

This is only my second time. Not a pro yet! Don’t want to be!
It definitely is a bitch. But it will be over soon. Pray that this makes it possible to avoid the big surgery. By cutting it, it allows it to heal around the catheter as your body fills in the cuts with new tissue. This is supposed to keep it open.
They also found out my prostate is a bit enlarged which was contributing. Flowmax prescribed.
I’m Ok. Just turned onto my side. Whew. Laying on your back sucks. I also broke my ****ing iPad and the keys are all whacked out and don’t work half the time. Damn it. I put some tape on it and it’s gonna have to do.
When I get back on my feet I’m going to get an iPad mini I think because cheap. Anyone have one? Is it too small?

I'll call you in the am. I think we have an extra laying around.
Glad you're on the other side of the procedure and hope the meds are working.

You know, I really hate being "that guy" who is always sick. Hard to explain. I think people get sick of it. (no pun intended) - they start moving away from you and I don't blame them. It get's old after a while even for me. Plus, people are helpless to do anything and I think it frustrates them (people who actually care).
In real life I never complain. I also try to keep it under wraps mostly so it doesn't affect my business. Although it's been pretty hard to hide from my music following. You can only come up with so many excuses as to why you are almost passing out on stage or turning grey in the middle of the set. (although I've never missed a show, nor have I ever stopped a song - that is a cardinal sin).
I really just post here about it because I know you guys care and I sometimes just need to talk about it. I'm really almost at my limit mentally with so many physical problems. At some point I won't be able to go on if any more shit gets added to the mix.
The pain tonight is intense. I'm hoping it starts to get better in the next couple of days but my previous experience was not this. For 10 days it just stayed brutal.
One difference is that I now know how to take care of the damn thing. They gave me no instructions last time (that will come up in the impending suit). The HUGE thing is to keep the entry point lubricated with neosporin or KY gel (Neosporin is better because it also helps reduce the chance of infection with is sky high with these damn things).
Without it, blood dries on the tube and it literally tears up your dick hole. By day 8 I was a ****ing mess. This simple oversight on their part caused me a lot of unnecessary pain.
This time I'm bleeding a lot so it's harder to keep it from drying. The doc did some cutting so it's normal (but freaky as shit) and I hope it will lessen fast. I can't keep up with it so I will have some trouble there. I'm packing Neosporin in there mixed with lidocane (my brother the heart surgeon lifted a dozen vials for me.) Ha! I'm a compounding pharmacist now!
You guys would freak and or laugh if you saw my supply closet. I have bags of saline with kits to administer, supplies of drugs in-case of shortages (which happen more often than you think), all kinds of antibiotics (for the zombie apocalypse) sterile gloves, alcohol, gauze, syringes, even surgical instruments (zombies again).
Sorry for the TMI. I find it interesting. I should have been a doctor so I could have huge debt and work for peanuts thanks to Obamacare. Yeah, that's the ticket.

UPDATE: got that evil tube ripped out of me today. Holy shit, it hurt badly. But, it’s gone. My abdomen hurts but I’m guessing the whole area is freaking out. I’m hoping this pain goes away soon. Hard to sing like this.
Now we hope for the best. If my urethra stays open, I won’t have to have reconstructive surgery. I pray that is the case.
Jebus Christmas, that was rough. Twice in two months. First for 10 days then for 6 days.
