I got a voice mail day before yesterday from a major artist. (no name dropping). I didn't listen to it because I thought it was about the recording we are working on and it could wait a day or two.

He calls today and says "Hey I got a guy so the gig is covered. Did you get my message?"

"Uh, no I must have missed it..."

"Oh, I needed a guitarist tonight and thought of you"

"Aw shit - thanks! Ask me again?"

"You bet".

Shit. I'm a ****stick.
