most people watch from their motorhomes because they're too drunk to waddle their fat walmart asses to the stands to sit in the blazing sun and 90% humidity.
infield shot looked pretty full.
"inner loop?"
that's the bus stop. :slap:

You can also roam freely throughout the entire track, (Infield and Outfield).
Many people just leave their seats so that they can get a taste of each part of the track.
According to the announcers, it was totally sold out.
I believe it because from my experience, the above reasons are in play.

You're right too. I've been WGI a few times and I've never seen so many drunken rednecks in one place in my life. And I've been to about 20 Notre Dame Football games in South Bend, everyone is drunk at the tail gater lol

Road course races were my favorite, and NASCAR should have tripled the number of races with that format 20 years ago.
These days, I don't even think about NASCAR. Not on the TV, not in the internet, just don't think about them.
It was a self-inflected wound by them.
with all the TV money they have pocketed, you'd think they'd come up with something other than 1.5 mile ovals. :slap:

So, you're not a fan I take it? :Jeff '79:
NASCAR has an innaugural road course race this season in Charlotte.
That should be interesting.
They are also in the process of selecting a road course for the chase.:seasix:

I was a HUGE fan from 1986 forward. I watched EVERY SINGLE RACE for 10 seasons straight. They ****ed up, and I'm no longer entertained by what they sell. Again, I still enjoy road course racing, but with family in town, I had no chance to peep it.

Me too, my watching dropped off after Dale died and then when Tony retired there wasn’t anyone left to cheer for. It’s NHRA for me now, go team Kalitta
