Damn you guys are nice to me. This is me not being false humble. Truthfully I'm an average singer and a slightly above average guitarist who knows nothing about music except what my ears tell me.

My mastery is in being a bandleader. I herd the cats. I have the vision and I set the tone and brand. I'm also a very good promoter/marketer.

For the record, JV and I have a budding working relationship but I'm still not sure if he will play on the album. We have a strategy for him and a handful of luminary performers. Basically we let them know the door is open. No expectations. Most were on the first album back in '85 so we want to be sure they know they are welcome.

We are working on the recorded tracks to overdub vocalists, guitar, etc. Then we will take a couple tracks to show the these guys the quality of this project to motivate them. I have been in touch with all of them and all are positive and interested. JV and I got in a little dust up but we worked it out. (bad info from manager it turns out...) All part of the process at this level.

A lot comes down to touring/recording schedules. And money - I need to raise about $15K in the next 30 days or it will be an EP.

I think this album will win some industry awards - it is literally that good. I'm one lucky bandleader. :dance:
