View Full Version : Finally bought that MONSTER mobile workstation
Datawiz

Great discounts this weekend, was over an $11k computer for $7.5k including tax. Only thing I'm going to replace is the 3rd hard drive. I bought a measly 1TB 2.5" SATA and will replace with with a 5TB drive. Cheaper for me do that on my own.
Been 8 years since I purchased the last monster. I'm overdue. :yesnod:

It's VR ready, so I might splurge and get some HTC Vive Pro goggles. Witnessed VR recently, on much lesser scale, and it was cool as fkuc.
5TB 3rd drive on the way, and whole shebang should be here no later than next Friday.

God, BIG data is kicking my ass. Converting my old Dell M6500 workstation into a virtual machine to use on the new notebook, and simultaneously copying a 200GB VM that has all of my programming languages and SQL Server and tools to the notebook. Kinda confused how mine is obsolete. OK, 6TB internal, and I have 4, but I have 5 TB external in my backpack from the drive that wouldn't fit, so I have 9. :D
