Bad Crash in New Jersey. Few details about injuries. Body of bus ripped off frame.

I know one of those dump truck drivers and he told me with a full load it is impossible for them to stop if need be......yet they think it's funny to cut in front of people and ride their ass to scare them !
Yes I called him an asshole,friend or not ......he is one.

From the pictures it looks like the body of the bus was rip off the frame.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. - A student and a teacher were killed and 43 others injured on Thursday when a school bus of 5th graders on a field trip collided with a dump truck on a New Jersey highway, officials said.

I'm curious how the collision occurred because the front of the bus and front of the dump truck appeared to be the points of impact, but it looks like a divided road where everyone should be going the same direction.

The dump truck rear ended the bus and then the bus hit the center guard rail.

80 is a divided highway with a wide median.

The exact cause of the accident hasn't been determined/released yet, but there is speculation that the bus driver missed the exit and MIGHT have tried to use the turn around in the median that is marked "for official use only". If he did that, it's an incredibly stupid thing to do.

The news today said the 77 year old bus driver tried to make an illegal u turn and the dump truck hit the bus.
