A few thoughts:
1) Not much has been said about one of the reasons.....our founder's health.
Gary, I think I can speak for everyone here when we hope that your medical situation improves and that you are restored to health. Second, as long as you aren't working and retired, why not hang out with the degenerates, sad sacks, and emotionally stunted retards that populate your site. You'll instantly feel better about yourself by being reminded every day, "thank God I'm not THOSE people."
2) In case it hasn't been said, a big thank you from all of us for making this Group W bench of the internet available for us.
3) Big Thanks to Y2K (Tom) for agreeing to take this over. You ARE appreciated.
4) Thanks to Dixie for taking on admin duties.
5) Thanks to Dixie and Clark for actually doing something in those uncertain days.
6) Thanks to Woeii, for offering us shelter in a storm. It wouldn't hurt some of you to pop in once and a while. I did, so it's clear there is no minimum standard for posting there.
7) When it looked bleak, we had quite a few emeritus members pop in. Is there any reason we can't encourage them to stay?
