and its one of the nicest watches I've ever bought. I bought it used but it looks like it was never worn this thing is beautiful and it was under 100.00.

NOW TAKE NOTE. If you ever buy an Invicta and it breaks throw it away because the company itself sucks when it comes to warranties that's why you never buy them new.. :seasix:

Always buy the ones that say Swiss movement or Swiss made. :seasix:

Never spend over 100.00..:seasix:

I have a couple of Invicta watches. This is my daily wear...automatic and certified to 600 feet although I have never worn it in more than 10 foot depth
I have never paid more than $150.00 new for any of the Invictas I own. Their MSRP prices are stupid and anyone that pays anywhere near those is looking to be bent over

I had three Invectas, purchased over the last 4 years. Each of them failed in unexpected ways — hands fell off, face trim rings (under the crystal) came loose, etc.

I like their designs, but won’t be back...

bought 1 a few years ago, it broke, it was the last one i'll ever buy.

That being said, all of my Citizen watches are still rock solid.

On my second Invicta. First suffered from fogged lens, so thought it was my fault when I did a battery change, even though I have the correct tools to do so. This one is self-winding. The watch can't go over a day and a half of non-movement. It is also perennially slow; I need to reset it every couple of days. I like their designs, but this will be my last Invicta much as others have said.

I've got several. A couple have failed.

Buy an Invicta for appearance's sake, and for no other reason.

I agree there are a lot of lemons that is why you don't pay any type of money for them...

Yes their warranty sucks that is why if they fail you throw them out.

Not all, you just have to be lucky but some of their designs are very nice.

I haven’t seen one yet that I would care to own, but to each his own... If you like them, that’s all that matters. To me, they are just piles of junk using low grade parts.

I've said that about past corvettes that I've owned but I still tortured myself and bought more...:lol:

i've always liked Seiko watches, especially after my brother returned from Japan in 1966 wearing one. He eventually gave me the watch.

My last two purchases were not Seikos though...one is an Armani (designed):

, and the other a Bernoulli. The Bernoulli (and my brothers 1966 Seiko) are the only two of the 10 or so watches I have that are not electric.

I have a Tag Heuer Sea Racer, Rolex white face Daytona, and Doxa Sub 600T. I use the Doxa for diving along with my Citizen Hyper Aqualand NX (my only digital watch other than my Garmin Fenix which I use for hiking, cycling, running, swimming, etc).

You might notice Invicta uses a hodge podge of movements and parts. It’s whatever is the cheapest at the time they make a particular model. They might use Miyota movements if they get a good deal on them. Also they use Asian made “Swiss” parts. There simply is no consistency at all. They cobble together watches from the cheapest sources they can find and that’s why they are so hit and miss. Aside from that, they are copycats and not much better than some fakes out there... Look at some of their dive watches. They are direct copies of Rolex and other well known brands. Do they have an original idea? Nope.

In the mid '80s I bought one of the first good fakes of the Rolex Oyster President day/date; an exact clone except it didn't have a swept second hand (was stepped, and a battery operated movement).

It was a little too gold toned though (the pic is of the real thing). I sold it - as a knockoff - about 20 years later for the $150'ish I originally bought it for.

If you're trying to sell your watch here, you're in the wrong forum. If you want to stay and bullshi!t about watches, or other topics, you're more than welcome to stay and chat.

I know NCC-1701, and I believe you were misreading what he posted.

What I believe he meant was that your watch is a nice watch.

And he was saying that the Invicta watches are crap, which has basically been pointed out repeatedly in this thread.

In other words, I'm pretty sure he was pointing out the disparity of the two, and in your watch's favor.

Welcome to the Vette Barn!
