My brother just bought a 71 mach 1 on eBay. Would like to find someone to go check it out so he doesn't have to fly up there to inspect it.

Long Island City is in Queens. Very close to NYC, literally across the East River.

Ya, that's Queens. Watch King of Queens at the beginning they show the Queensborough Bridge from Manhattan to Queens.
That quite far from Northport though.
My daughter is right across the bridge in Manhattan, but she doesn't know squat about cars.

Thanks! We might be on hold. Dude is trying to back out. Says he's selling it for a friend and the guy wanted more for it. Had it listed before with a reserve and it didn't meet it si related with no reserve blah blah blah. Not sure what the options are at this point. I told my brother to go ahead and pay the 1k deposit through PayPal so they can't say he didn't did his part.

Any ideas?

There is no recourse against a buyer on EBay. He can't hurt a feedback rating.

Seller is not complying with eBay sellers standards- not honoring a winning bid.

So I would not put down any deposit until Seller agrees to follow through on a valid winning bid.
