I bought a new gun from a custom builder in OH. (AR45) He shipped it 3/25 to my FFL here in NH.

It sat for two day in the USPS sorting facility in PA. Now it's "in transit" since the 27th. No updates on line and can't get a human to help me on their 800 number.

It still shows an estimated delivery of March 30th 2011. My guess is they mean 2012.

I should have aksed for Fed ex and paid him extra.

My stupid accountant sent my tax forms via usps and they got lost in the mail. So, somewhere out there is every personal financial record of my family. Been waiting for identity theft to strike. :beat:

The better half sends out a diet product that is fairly expensive via USPS Priority Mail and was getting non-delivery notifications from the purchasers. We cured it by adding insurance and delivery confirmation. No more losses and ontime delivery. To bad you have to pay extra to get decent service.

The sender has both on it. Still way to slow.

Postal workers probably know it's a gun and are trying to figure out how to steal it without getting caught.

Same thing happened to me with a part for my car, after two weeks I called the vendor and they sent me a new one for free. 2 months later I got the original part in the mail. :bilmem:

Y'all gonna be some old farts in 2112.
Wouldn't worry too much about the world ending.

Nope, just a plain old house in a neighborhood.

Still In transit from PA to NH. It could have crawled here on it's own.

As long as you do the proper paperwork and its going to an FFL to another FFL you can.

Any reason you didn't use UPS? USPS would NOT have been my first choice.

I was not asked for my Choice. I should have asked for Fed Ex.

Bummer, hopefully it shows quickly. I guess if it is really lost, the BATFE gets involved.

If it does not show up Monday I cannot get it until the 17th. I leave the 5th for Singapore.

Make sure the Post Office knows you won't be able to sign for it until then. Otherwise they may send it back as "undeliverable" :banghead:

It's going to my local gun club. They have an FFL not me. I have told the owner what is going on and he will hold onto it.

I envy you, Paul. Have a good trip!

I've had so many trips cancel, I almost hate to tell you that I'm scheduling a trip to Shanghai for mid-May. Serious enough this time to re-up my visa. :)

While that is true, at least it actually made it to the FFL :hurray:

( it's all how you look at it--no BATFE involvement VS the USPS :willy: )
