I talking as a practical matter in MY life some ~40 years ago.....old phone tape answering machines, flipping all over the nation doing field service work in the early 80's.....hands on with test gear, such as it was....then when that shut down back in the TV business holding down two TV shops as head tech....

and giving that up and going into Home remodeling.....getting a contractor license, and then the obvious....talking to customers in the evening, setting up sales appointments, running to supply houses, doing the daze work, and on the phone again in the evenings....one kitchen every other week....'off' week was counter tops and minor repairs.....

nothing to do with computers.....I not into the .net untill '95 my EX/kids mom was on the net in the late 70's.....this little thing called DOS 1.0 and her IBM 'intelligent' terminal at National Library of Medicine Bethesda Md....across the street from Navy Medical....now renamed under the Army name...I spent 19 years/childhood next to the NLM campus......it was a Golf Course back then.....

HAD she dropped her spoiled .gov job ATTITUDE we could have looked at maybe buying MSFT and be millionaires today.....what with them hooked into the .gov the way they were.....
