Well, actually, you just pissed off a whole bunch of retailers in your city. Way to encourage your residents to shop local.

That, combined with the meth problem there, should cure the heffalump problem with the quickness. :seasix:

WTF is a Sweetened Beverage recovery fee?

It's another money grubbing tax to sweeten the scum politicians coffers.

It's Seattle. They're talking about it here in Portland. Idaho's looking better all the time.

Just think, in a year's time you can swing by California and buy 25 rounds of 9mm for the low price of $92 plus an hour of your time for the background check, and then swing up north to buy some soda in Seattle to make you feel slightly better about the ammo.

Actually, the syrup vail will be kept behind the counter, as a permit will be required to purchase.

Drinks - $2.00 each
Syrup - $6.25 each

Permit - $75.00 per year.

Gatorade used to sell the powder and you just added water.

I'm thinking if it's sold as a powder it's not a sweetened beverage, and therefore not subject to the tax.

Loopholes... the bane of all liberal stupidity.

Seattle.
We just got rid of a libtard douschebag gay mayor with a child sex abuse past
and now have a new libtard female mayor who wants to expand on his policies.

Tax and spend! Tax the revenue payers and spend it on fantasyland for the parasites!

Ha! You've just described a lot of places in East Texas, where we still have plenty of dry/damp counties and cities. I can't tell you how many times I have been directed out to the middle of nowhere to find....a liquor store. No other businesses, just a rickety liquor store out in the middle of nowhere, because the neighboring county or city is dry.

Pretty damned much! Kind of a remote anal scent gland...It's there and
it stinks just like Ca.

Philadelphia taxes sweetened beverages too. All under the guise of "helping the school children". A couple more years and they find a way to steal that out from the kids too.

Lots of stores just outside the city limits have seen an increase in soda sales for some odd reason. :slap:

If a politician, liberal or conservative, tried that in this state, there'd be riots from Murphy to Manteo. Holy water ranks behind Pepsi here.

I wonder what the legal penalties for bootlegging sodas & Gatorade into Seattle are going to be. :slap:

Maybe it's just me but I don't understand how anyone can live in areas like these as screwed up as liberal Broward county is which I live in with it's cesspool of democrats this would never occur here because people here are already on the edge with high property taxes and insurance. If you live in Fl the three counties that subsidize the state are Broward, Dade and Hillborough County which is the Tampa area the rest of the state is relatively low in property taxes and insurance. If you ever decide to move to Fl to get away from the cold and high taxes stay out of those three counties I mentioned. I guess these ridiculous taxes are accepted because I assume that the pay is a lot greater in those areas so I guess everything is relative. You get what you vote for.

This comes from the political party that tells us "It's her body so it's her choice".

Their hypocrisy is telling.
