I just sold a set of those aluminum wheels to a guy in London England who's got one of those clones as well. 1000$ plus 300$ shipping! And then they will have to be buffed and polished. :willy:
Personally I don't understand the attraction, but to each his own I guess.:bilmem:

Not my cup of tea either. I actually prefer things stock. But I certainly can appreciate the attention to detail and work that went into it, quite impressive. Especially the interior. :wow:

Very very very nice repro.

I sold a set of original, back-in-the-day Goodyear NCT tires with only 7800 miles on them, that were originally installed on a DeLorean, to a guy in Australia that owned one of TWO (mind you) DeLoreans that left the factory as Twin Turbo's.

The eBay auction went up to $400.00.

Shipping was $1500.00.

:faint:

He didn't care. He HAD to have those tires for that very special DeL.

That's cool but I'd rather have a Batman, TV series, Batmobile.

Props to the guy on the build.

That being said, he has too much money and time

Not my favorite tv car but extremely well done.

I wonder if the steering "wheel" would be legal.

BTW: KITT always reminded me of...

I see that guy used Detroit wheel and tire, they are a great place for OEM wheels and wheel restoration, makes me wonder if he is somewhat local

I've skimmed a few of his vids and I think he is in Ohio somewhere.

Great Video... I watched a couple more myself and found this one where he did the price breakdown. He mentions it's winter in Ohio. Which I can unfortunately vouch for.

Great breakdown.... says he has close to 50K in it by the end :wow:

They have a huge Trans Am show in August every year near Dayton, Ohio. I haven't been there in a few years but there were about 10 KITT conversions a few years ago. Really cool to see in person although I would never do one myself. Hopefully I can remember to go this year and check it out in person. I can't imagine him not going to this show.
