Obviously the B-1 is my fav. I wish the BS Soviet treaty hadn't kept us from being able to mount the external ALCMs like in my avatar.

The picture in your avatar was done by a guy named Dru Blair. He and another guy did several of the nose arts on our airplanes. My aircraft was 6-098 and is now at Dyess AFB in Abilene Tx. The nose art was "The midnight Train from Georgia".

The bird at the museum is not the actual 6098. It was just painted like it. Dru Blair came back to the base and painted the recreation.:seasix:

Do you have "Procession of Power" Those were our aircraft coming back to their spots. The guy he worked with is Mickey Harris. I have a beautiful "Memphis Belle" print he did. You would have to see it to really appreciate it.

In the B-1 world, we called the B-52 guys the mafia. They would get credit for blowing everything all to shit, when the B-1 was carrying the load. There is plenty of inter-team rivalry in the AF! We took a lot of pride in the B-1B's.:seasix:
