Get back with us when you finish your Hooked on Phonics course, and best of luck with that GED!
“Best of luck with that GED” is not an independent clause. A subject can sometimes be implied in an imperative clause, but the verb can not be implied.
Is this right? I don't see why "best of luck with that GED isn't an independent clause. Have I committed an error of comma splice, in the first statement?

I over-use commas. But I just do it to slow down speed readers.:yesnod:

no comma was needed
no comma was needed
Was it wrong to include it? I was using the Peabody Principle, making the sentence flow better.

The only independent clause I'm familiar with is Santa.

I would have put the comma after "and", not before.

Not what I asked. Is it improper to place the comma where I placed it, and for the reason given?
