I don't know if State Fairs are popular in your area, but I used to give my daughter money to not go to the Fair. Anything less than $100 is a bargain!

I've never been to our state fair. It's in Sacramento about 100 miles from here. We do have a small county fair which is walking distance from where I live now. It's only four days. It used to be cheap when I moved here in '91. Parking was free. They gave the parking concession to the boy scouts about ten years ago, which I'm sure is a major fund raiser for them. They charge five bucks. Food prices have gone up drastically in just the last few years. Much fewer people going, too.
