BOWLING GREEN, KY - A dog that chased a raccoon into a central Kentucky cave has been rescued after 10 days.
Roger Moore was hunting in Metcalfe County when he let Half Pint run. She plunged into a wet cave but didn't come back out.
Moore told WBKO-TV in Bowling Green that he has the ability to track the dog by GPS and retraced her trail. He stayed at the cave for several hours.
He finally contacted Metcalfe County Emergency Management officials, who began looking for someone who could search the cave.
Two members of the Barren County Rescue Squad went in Wednesday morning and emerged a half-hour later with Half Pint.
Metcalfe emergency management director Emory Kidd says the dog was proud to be out and was in excellent condition.
