Burgers must be assembled in a certain order. Cheese does NOT go on the bottom* :bslap:

*The ONLY exception would be double cheese , then it would be acceptable.

I put the cheese under the burger because...

1. The bottom bun is thin and juices from the burger soak in and destroy it. The cheese is a moisture barrier.

2. All the fixin's added to the top, slide around on the cheese if the cheese is on top. The bare burger's surface keeps them in their place.

3. Placing the cheese on the bottom bun and the hot burger on top lets the cheese stay melted. If it's on top it re-solidifies when you add cold lettuce, pickles, etc.
