Damn, I should have made that a poll choice. Is it too late to amend it?

As the leg irons were applied, it became obvious the Judge hadn't been amused.

Spence will be found guilty without trial (you can tell he's guilty, just look at him! :slap: ) and sentenced to 90 days on the chain gang. but sentence will be delayed until June next year, so he has the pleasure of enjoying the summer heat in MS. meanwhile, he'll wear an ankle monitor, be disbarred, lose his right to buy booze, and have to give up his cats.

Criticize all you want, 'cause I know it's in jest. I just don't lose cases, and Judges listen to me.

There is a difference between listening and agreeing :yesnod:

Spence will bring a Ken doll up to the bench, rip off Ken’s polyester britches and proceed to blow him promising the judge “A much wetter version” in chambers.

He’ll get out of this ticket, but that pissed off cop will nail him for a busted tail light, no seatbelt, failure to yield, and speeding, when leaving the courthouse in his Jag.

Dismissed or not guilty maybe a court fee...

Sorry I just read the post of his seat belt ticket. If that's his argument he will lose. You can't go into a trial and tell the judge the seat belt in the old car does not work its your responsibility that everything works on the car your driving the judge could care less about that excuse. Its going to be the police officers word against his. As far as the unconstitutionality of the law HAHAHAHAHA. Better go in with other disclaimers...

I clicked jail time since there was no option for having to pay the fine. Not going to beat the ticket, he'll have to pay up. :seasix:

And there is no reason the bench seatbelt wouldn't work with bucket seats. They mount in the same place & operate the same regardless of seat type. The 4 door sedan & wagon seatbelts will also work. :yesnod:

Just another lawyer wasting the court's time with BS. Hopefully the judge sees right through it. :island14:

Judge is going to say ((Nicely) counselor you have a totally ****ed up reason for not using a seat belt. Now pay up and get the hell out of here I have more important business to do!:D

Nah. Not worried about that; my reputation makes them respect (fear?) me.

Just read the OP from the other thread.

For most folks I would predict just some eye-rolling from the judge, but aren't you an attorney?

My prediction is the judge will be exceedingly pissed off.

I ware my shoulder belt under my arm because I busted up my shoulder and upper arm real bad in a accident many years ago. Got stopped by a state trooper that was going to give me a ticket for improper use. Asked him (Nicely) where was that in the V&T book. A deer in the headlights moment passed and he said I'm not sure but it sure as shit is not safe. We then went our separate ways. (I knew I was OK as a good fried (A police captain)was in charge of traffic enforcement in a local PD and can quote V&T regs quite well

FWIW I was in a bad role over accident last December wearing the belt under shoulder and all was fine!
