Robert De Niro regaled the starry crowd at the Annual Hudson River Park Gala on Thursday night where he was honored and a park bench dedicated to him.
“One of my pleasures will be keeping people off my bench who don’t deserve a view of the park like Donald Trump,” he said during a speech.
“F--k you, Donald Trump. It’s a horror with this motherf---er.” The “Good Fellas” actor also described the President as a low life.
Afterward former Mayor Mike Bloomberg deadpanned about the famously shy actor: “It took me years before I finally got a sentence out of Bobby. He’s not a big talker.”
Earlier the Oscar winner told Confidential that he loves the greenery on the edge of the Hudson. De Niro who has often been pictured with old pal Harvey Weinstein admitted that they haven’t spoken since the Weinstein sex scandal imploded.
Seth Meyers, Coco Rocha and Mike Meyers were among the guests at Pier 62 who also saw Gloria Gaynor belt out her classic, “I Will Survive.”
The Hollywood Reporter reported on Friday that Amazon was considering dropping a Weinstein Co. project that was to star De Niro and Julianne Moore.

He's entitled to his opinion. And that's what it is, an opinion.
Hollywood types are ****ing stupid. Alienating literally half of your potential customers is a real good idea nimrod.
You reap what you sew.

Hollywood entertainers are nothing more than court jesters. They need to STFU & entertain us, nothing more. No one cares about their opinions. Their years of make believe don't give them any unique insight into the workings of politics, economics, global warming, etc., etc., etc. Chinaski is correct; all they do is alienate half of their fans (i.e., income).

Just like the dummy NFL players. They only have as much value as the paying public puts on them. Personally, I don't think any of them are worth minimum wage for what they do.

I have this argument with my wife all the time. I will say I don't want to go see a specific movie or listen to a band/singer because the star has turned into a total asshat spouting off their beliefs on politics, global warming, etc.
She says that they have a right to their opinion and that I should separate the "art" from the opinion. I say I totally agree that they have that right to their opinion but when they trade on their "art" to voice that opinion, I have the right to not support it .
The smart ones try to stay away from political statements since they know that almost anything they say will alienate some significant percentage of their fan base. This is one thing I admire in Taylor Swift even though I am not a big fan of her music. She is an extremely astute business person as well as celebrity. She has repeatedly declined to be baited into political expressions. She knows that whatever she says, she will lose.

Actually, that describes ALL chaps.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaps
Chaps (/ˈʃæps/ or /ˈtʃæps/) are sturdy coverings for the legs consisting of leggings and a belt. They are buckled on over trousers with the chaps' integrated belt, but unlike trousers they have no seat and are not joined at the crotch. They are designed to provide protection for the legs and are usually made of leather or a leather-like material. Their name is a shortened version of Spanish the word "chaparreras." Chaparreras were named after the chaparral (thick, thorny, low brush) they were designed to protect the legs from while riding on horseback. Like much of western horse culture the origin of chapaderas was in Nuevo España / Mexico and has been assimilated into cowboy culture of the American west. They are a protective garment to be used when riding a horse through brushy terrain. In the modern world, they are worn for both practical work purposes and for exhibition or show use. Chaps have also been adopted for use on motorcycles, particularly by Harley riders and other cruiser style motorcycle riders.

Just another spoon fed blow hard.
The Hollywood and NY actors are nothing but a bunch of pandering idiots. They can only feel relevant as long as they see their names mentioned as if their opinion mattered.
The leaked nudes, the slandering of politicians, the jumping on the current bandwagon that happens to be passing through at any given moment - all for attention.
Free advertising....Just like Trump did when campaigning for his current position.

They're entitled to their opinions just like anyone else. The problem is the media and fans that somehow think the fact that they can sing, dance or act makes their opinion worth more than anyone else's. What really pisses me off is when Congress invites them to testify about something they have no education or expertise in. It's just a dog and pony show.
