My wife wasn't able to find a trailer to get the 'vette down here to TX.
My FIL is going to work on it, and fix or replace what needs it (U-joint, I think) so it'll make the 1000 mile drive from Indiana to TX.
Who wants to drive with me?

and lets be honest, $835 for a one-way rented trailer is f'n ridiculous.

ironically, my nieghbor here is willing to let us borrow one of his trailers... so if I get into trouble on the way down she'll just borrow that and pull me back. Even so it'll fit in our horse trailer

the PO of the vette has put 2000 miles since he took it out and my wife has driven it 500 since. I figure "what's another thousand"?

my trailer doesn't have a hitch on the back of it.

besides, It's a 1-ton Diesel, not a 1/2-ton gasser.
Ford rates it around 13,000 lbs on a gooseneck/fifth wheel.
