The only part of that video I would be in, wold be the part showing what you may look like if you didn't go to the gym. But, no, if I am going to get laughed at, I want compensation.

Why would you want to do it without compensation? The gym plans to make money with the video. At least get some benefit from it. BTW, you're embarking on a slippery slope by doing ads--possible ridicule if the production company guesses wrong on what a "good" ad is, potential liability or at least embarrassment if it turns out the gym is a racket or a front for something else, etc. Sounds far-fetched, but the world is different now.
