View Full Version : Is Anyone Running General G-Max Tires On Their Cars?

I have them on the 525i and love them.
I'm on my 4th summer with this set and they are now almost shot.
I'm thinking of getting them for the new to me Acura ILX.
The ILX is actually becoming a pretty fun car to drive. It has a sport mode which is quite peppy. Not quite BMW pulling balls, but good enough for the chicks I roll with. :D
The paddle shifters are quite responsive.
It's a little loud from road noise, but the awesome radio compensates for that.
I think that the Hankook tires that came with it have a lot to do with that though.
General G-Max..... I think I see them in my future. :drivingskid:

Honestly, I haven't driven a Honda/Acura in years but when I was selling cars, they had a reputation among salesmen for being a little noisy. When we went on test drives, we always tried to show the customer how awesome the stereo was to drown out the noise when we were at freeway speeds.

I'm 1/2 deaf from growing up in the late '70's & 80's so it wasn't a deal breaker.

And I don't understand why I'm not. Between rock concerts, loud machinery at work and drag races, it amazes me that I can hear at all. I actually got examined and tested by an audiologist a few years ago and she said I was pretty normal for someone my age.

My Panasonic EAB-940 Coaxial car speakers in my '75 Nova in HS could handle anything...
Van Halen, (pre Sammy), Foghat, RUSH, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, etc..... It was worth it. :D
Best speakers I ever owned. That is until one went flying past my head when the oak tree got in my way.
