I'll start with a disturbing picture with a bit of history I hope will exonerate me...
Well folks.....This is a real picture of our 3rd grade class.....we were made to do this I swear...year was 1959. I think there would be race riots if it was done now. An added bonus was our fathers did an adult version of this Black Face Minstrel Show for the P.T.A. !
I actually have a newspaper clipping about it.
I know the picture is not that great quality but look at the backdrop ! In art class we had to draw black people with knot heads etc. And in music we were taught how to sing like slaves would have !
I'm embarrassed but it's real.....what could you do ? I'm not going to say which is me just to keep some level of decency even if it is many moons later
