75 Acres with 50% containment. My daughter still lives there. She left work to go get the dogs and see how close the fire was. So far they are just telling people to prepare to evacuate. We may be having house guests tonight including three dogs. There are only three roads out of there and one of them is blocked by the fire and downed power lines. Lots of smoke in the air.
I live about 17 miles from there now.

Best of luck to her. How far is she from the fire?

Looking at the fire map, it looks like there is a lot to burn, but fortunately not too many residences right in that spot. Going to suck for the vineyards though.

I hope they are able to knock those fires down! Y'all stay safe out there! Prayers being sent!

Actually the lesson learned from the recent fires is that vineyards make a pretty good fire break. It was newer vineyards between me and that big fire two years ago that probably saved my neighborhood. And right now they are very green and won't catch fire easily.
What website are you looking at? They are calling it the bottle or bottle rock fire. It's near Bottle Rock Road.

Bottle Rock is the first on the list. You can zoom in on it on the map.

I was talking to my son out in Grass Valley a couple hours before this posted, after that I hit the sack.....we talking about these weird weather conditions yawl facin' all the time....rain washing the state away one month then all the brush/crap that grew dries out over spring/summer, and of course it catches fire.....I looked at the fire map there, HOLY CATS!!!!!
looks like every back yard in the joint is at risk....:issues: My son was not particularly aware of the fire hazards faced every year out there, now that he lives there and owns a house, it's like phreak out time.....
Best of luck to you guys, yawl stay safe...first thing to grab is the guns and ammo......:issues::seasix::shots: and of course the liquor .....

The fire is fully contained, no structures damaged. It looks like it was caused by a vehicle accident.
