If the plastic trigger didn't flex so damn much my fullsize USP in 45ACP would be the perfect weapon. I can shoot the fuzz off a gnat's ass in slow fire, then pound 10 rounds into a B27 ten ring at 25 feet in less than 10 seconds. Reload and put another 10 rounds downrange in less than 12.

You like the trigger pull on that one? That's a DA/SA, correct?

I shot the pistol today..

Interesting experience.

I had a few failures to feed, interestingly enough. 2 Total, both were with Federal 100 round boxes from Walmart.

I know how to shoot, no limp wristing or anything. I roll my own, but I figured I would break the pistol in with a 100 rounds (or so) of Factory Ammo etc.

After the first two FTF within the first 50 rounds using Wal-Mart Federal Factory ammo, the pistol ran like a top with the remainder of the cheap Wal-Mart ammo I ran through it along with own handloads...

My Handloads were range brass with about 4 grains of Titegroup and 115 Grain Bayou 'coated' bullets along with X-Treme Plated 115 grain Bullets using either 231 or Titegroup. My handloads functioned flawlessly.

At 10 yards, pistol shot point of aim. Honestly, I was just making noise today....the cretins come out on the Weekend at my local range, so I showed up early to just put a few rounds through the gun, and left before it started getting dumbed down with inexperienced tards.

The pistol is fine, just learning the trigger. Reset is different from my CZ, but all is good. I'm happy with it. :):seasix:

On a side note, I did a defensive pistol class with a buddy recently...he was shooting a Beretta 92 with Federal factory ammo and had a few FTF issues...perhaps that shit is weak? I don't know. He has had that pistol 20+ years and is an experienced shooter and never had a lick of trouble with that gun.

I also scored 8lbs of HP38 this week for a really good deal, so I'm happy.

:)

If "coated" means not plated be careful. Polygonal rifling and lead bullets do not mix. I have never had an issue with Berry's or Xtreme in poly barrels, just keep the velocity mellow.

Coated Bullets, Bullets for Reloading, Competition Bullets - Bayou Bullets (http://www.bayoubullets.net)

I am aware of Cast Lead with Polygonal barrels, but read the about section...They are safe to use in Glock/HK barrels. Check around the gun forums, a lot of people are using these in Glock's with no issues.

That said, I have a bunch of XTremes that I used as well...

Another thing, although I wouldn't do it, HK doesn't specifically recommend not shooting cast lead in their manual, unlike Glock.
