GWiz had to replace a faulty O2 sensor before she went, but the tech got a huge kick out of G and her car and said she clearly bought a good engine. Numbers were fantastic. :hurray:

Don't think he could have passed with the old engine, let alone even show up for a sniff. :lol:

We don't do smog in Florida, so this was another new hurdle to consider.

Ha! When we do emissions testing on a vehicle that won't otherwise pass, we just disconnect the battery, wait 20 minutes, reconnect it, and drive around a little bit, and try to find the sweet spot where everything passes, just for that day when the vehicle gets tested.

But your way is good, too.

My '92 Corvette failed a couple of times in the fifteen years I owned it, it just didn't get driven enough. I'd just drive it fifty or sixty miles at 3000-4000 rpm on the freeway and it'd pass.

We don't smog here either. But 90 miles up the road....different story.

ONE of the main reasons I chose Florida over the SW regions, is the lack of smog testing, and the lack of significant property taxes...... now if they would just kick out all the illegals, it would be purrfect......
