Wife was in the kitchen this evening making scrambled eggs and french toast. Teh doggie was sitting on the edge of the kitchen hoping something would fall his way. Nope- wife told him "no treats" a couple of times. Then he gets up and limps to the adjoining family room. Wife and daughter are like "WTF?" and check his paw out. Nope- nothing they could see. So teh doggie limps back to the kitchen looking miserable. Sooo... you guessed it... wife threw some scrambled eggs into his bowl. Which he wolfed down. And miraculously walked away like nothing happened. :rofl: :rofl:
Now, number one, teh doggie put my wife together like a cheap watch- feigned an injury to get a treat. On the other hand, I have to think of all the complex thought and reasoning processes that had to go on in his head to come up with this plan. Dog's pretty damned smart!

Doggie is smarter than wife.
I think of him more as "food motivated." Here he is with the middle kid on a road trip. Notice what's got his undivided attention.

:hurray::hurray::lolsmile:
I had 2 Black Labs that were food motivated smart. They were able to open to the pantry door and help them selves to the stuff all the way up to two shelves above their heads. They did not need a can opener to open tuna cans. :lolsmile::rofl: I miss those two!
Beautiful smart dog by the way!:seasix: Your dog has taken it to a new level! :wow:

I've always said, my Labs could fly the Space Shuttle if you could pack enough treats in it! :lol:

So who didn't get their scrambled eggs?
It all worked out- just a little less per person. She usually makes too much anyways.

Something strange goes on with my dogs.
I have two dogs, a ten year old Shitzu/Poodle who weighs 20 lbs and a five year old Yorkie/Maltese who weighs 4 lbs. Now the big dog is very well house broken, and hardly ever bothers us to be let outside. She is content to wait until we think to let her out. She rarely has accidents.
Our little dog still struggles with housebreaking and was partly pee-pad trained when we got her. Since moving to the new house, she seems to want to pee outside, and will bark loudly to let us know when she wants to go out. The funny thing is, she sometimes barks not to be let out herself, but to tell us the older dog needs to go out. She barks, we go open the door, and the other dog goes out to pee. All of this act began about a year ago when we moved to our current house.:island14:
