When I moved into this house, I wanted...and got...a small yard. I knew I'd have a space to cookout, but it's not good for much else. AND I wanted zero maintenance. The pellet smoker and the grill go on the patio...so what to do, what to do? Heyyyyyyy....why not have a putting green!!!

I have a 25 year guarantee on the color, it's pet safe (including cleanup) and no mowing. WOOHOOOOOO!!!!

They start by digging up 4" of topsoil:

Next they fill with crushed granite for stability and drainage and compact it down:

A layer of sand is spread over the granite, then the turf goes down, then green and black synthetic sand on top for the final fill:

Putting whenever I want.

So in 2 or 3 years you have the company back in to alter the lay of the putting green? :D

At $11 per sq. ft.? ahhhhhh no. :D

You get a hole in one yet?

Why do you think I made this. It's the only way I can!

I'm pretty sure why they were covering their face vato. Le Migre !!

The owner of the company was at the job site today and he actually offered up that all of his workers have valid green cards and have been with him for at least five years. I was impressed!

The lack of a suitable water hazard is distressing.

Nice job otherwise. :seasix:

Just let him know before you go over there to play, I'm sure he can let the dog out to leave you plenty of "hazards" to play around.

If you don't have a full size pool, put a hot tub in the ground.....call it a hot hazard......

I prefer to call them mounds. :D

I've trained the dog to clean up after herself. Zero maintenance, remember?

He's doing fine. Golf, wings and ballgames are our primary functions. I really never asked him why he doesn't post, and we don't talk about Corvette related stuff much. He doesn't drive his that much anymore and I don't own one.
