Saw that recently, never gets old, great movie. Some tough wooden boats there. John Wayne had a converted PT as his personal yacht at one time.

Wow....talk about a major fauxpas! Warren Beaty and Faye Dunnaway announced the WRONG best picture at the end of the show!
they announced that La La Land was the winner first....kinda funny that the all black movie about the ghetto was the real winner and accepted the award after that mistake.

Damn I missed it. There was a program about building off the grid that caught my attention. Would normally not consider watching it but there was nothing at all on.

I actually watched Ken Burns Civil War on NETFLIX. I have never seen it all the way through, so I dived in. Pretty interesting. :seasix:

Earlier in the day, I watched a documentary on the band Rush called Behind the Lighted Stage, or something-aruther. It was good too.

No time for blowhard rich political hacks. :issues:

If you watched the Academy Awards I'm curious how your last Pap Smear went.

We had a power surge (rural electricity service, ugh!) Saturday night that fried our whole satellite system. No TV yesterday at all. Had a great evening sitting by the fire reading.

I kinda feel like Honest Abe!

Apparently they gave them the wrong envelope. I watched the replay, because I obviously didn't watch live, and it was pretty hilarious.

the text said best actress....and named her.

Why didn't Beatty and Dunnaway stop before reading the results after seeing that written on it, and correct the mistake before it got embarrassing?
