Travelled all of last week balls to the wall with work, sick people on the plane. Sick people at the client. Back on a plane Friday. Rehearsal Sat amd Sunday (no rest) show on Monday - bassist sick (total blowout show!) slept Tuesday.

Now respiratory infection. Which for me always ends up with hospitalizations becuase my immune system is in tatters. Hoping I'm wrong this time.

Plus YUGE amount of work to do. :shots::datawiz::cert::shots::sleep:

Sleeping today. Screw everyone and their deadlines and bullshit.

Chemo all day tomorrow. Unless I'm too sick for it.

Dude, you really need to be cautious with this. I've had a supressed immune system for the past 37 years !

This. If you put all these variables together, the result is both undesirable and expensive.

White people are not supposed to have the blues, they're supposed to give the blues - George Carlin.

Hope you get through this soon and recover.

Got TamiFlu. Hoping it works.

These secondary infections are almost unavoidable. I get something about once a year that costs me a hospitalization. So far 100% record there so hoping this time is different.

It's not a big deal. Just expensive and inconvenient. And uncomfortable.

I feel like somebody took a razor wire wrapped baseball bat and shoved it down my trachea. Coughing is wearing me out.

I slept this morning and managed some work this afternoon. Treatment day tomorrow. I'm guessing I'll just get iron because they can't give me the big drug if I have an infection.

Strangely, I am horny so there's that. :barnbabe:

Well thanks for that detail! :D :leaving:

Seriously, here's hoping you can kick this without ending up back in the hospital

I knew it. Damn it. I just knew it.

if you knew it would probably happen, then this also means you knew enough-in-advance to avoid the situation.

I carry around dust-type masks and sometimes wear one in certain situations. I've put on disposable latex gloves as well.

Yep; I look silly, but I don't end up dead.

If a coworker/friend/neighbor says "I think I'm coming down with a cold/flu"... stay the hell away from them for a few days. Avoid any children with runny snotty noses or chronic coughs.

My last post on this subject; but you're taking risks that you shouldn't be. After all the hurdles you have overcome, it would be be silly to be taken down by something that was avoidable.

^This, and I've come to the conclusion that everyone on a passenger plane should wear a medical mask as a precaution. Putting that many people together breathing the same air is bound to spread some viruses around. regardless of the filter system. Everyone gets sick after they come back from a trip. :ack:

I have to admit, I wore the masks on the plane but didn't when I saw my new client sick. I also didn't go for the mask for rehearsal and I should have.

I agree, I'm going to have to use them. This was a close call. Fever broke today. Got IV fluids and iron yesterday. Postponed chemo for Wednesday.

Whew. This is rough. I saw in an old thread that I had it about a year ago too.

I did fiddle with the car today for an hour. Got absolutely nothing done.

I'm exhausted but recovering. :dance::yesnod:
