Glad to see he took up for himself. We all know if that would have happened here in the states the bullies parents would be suing the other kid's parents for whipping their boy ass and the school would have expelled the kid that was being picked on because of their no tolerance rules for fighting.

Casey got a one day suspension ( and an appology from principal for having to do it ) and the bully got expelled.
If it was "permissible" to fight, a lot of this bullshit wouldn't be happening because it wouldn't have gotten this far.

Maybe it's just me, but it isn't right to suspend someone for self-defense... even if it is for only one day, and it comes with an apology from the principal.
Self defense does not equate to fighting. If the bully gets hurt, that's just the risk he takes for being a bully. Besides... he f'n deserves it. Justice served, short and sweet.

Zero Tolerance ----- It's not to protect the students, it's only purpose is to keep the admins from getting sued.
It's a damn shame the bully's ankle wasn't broken on the flower bed. That could have served as a life long reminder not to be a complete and total asshole.

Kid's got a good outlook on the situation.
I do disagree with the dad the the violence is horrible even the when Casey got involved. Hey, the kid did what he needed to do and I'm betting he wishes he did earlier.
It's a great feel good, story though

Sad how a bright kid like him was pushed to such a terrible thought. Though now I don't think he will ever think like that again.

I had something similar happen when I was a Senior in High School. A freshman (shrimp) was acting the fool and bullying a girl. I walked up to him and told him to back off and go away. Anyway the little fukker started whaling away on me like I was a punching bag.
I grabbed him flipped him upside down and dangled him over the second floor walk way. Two teachers witnessed the whole thing. They rushed up and begged me not to drop him. I didn't I pulled him over hand rail and dropped him on the walkway.
Naturally we went to the principal's office. He got kicked out of school, nothing happened to me but thanks for not dropping him off the second floor and killing him. That was 42 years ago, things have changed a bunch. :yesnod:

I was refering to the boy thinking about sucide, not the bodyslam, I think he should have pile drived him after the slam. Just for good measure

As much as the bully deserved it, that would have been a boat load of trouble he would have been in. :yesnod:

:iagree: As much as it sucks that he got suspended too, rules are rules. I respect the principal for realizing it was wrong and apologizing. Glad Casey stood up for himself. I wish he would've given that kid a kick in the face when he was on his hands and knees after he got slammed. :kick:

This is the problem, especially when we are talking about "zero tolerance".
That old "rules are rules" argument is why we have jury nullification, you know, when a jury sets an obviously guilty person free, because they disagree with the rule, at least in the particular instance it was being used against the defendent.
For some reason I just assumed that happened in the USA.

The Bully gets his turn to talk...
YouTube - Bully Richard Gale Interview on Today Tonight
A toothpaste salesman could make a damn fortune down there.
Oh, boo hoo. Greasy rat tail/mullet kid says he was attacked first......not likely. I hate to say it, but you can just look at him and hear him talk to know he is a dick. Rat tail got what he had coming. Hope he learned something.
Maybe his Mom will use the money she makes pimping him out to the TV shows to buy him some shampoo and get some dental work done.
