A review of the game-winning touchdown by the Patriot's James White in OT shows that his knee was on the ground before the ball crossed the goal line:

Since when does this kind of play not get reviewed?

I don't know what you were watching, but that's a touchdown. Ball is well into the white line when his knee touched. Just needs to get into/over the line, not into what you call the end zone.

I think Falcon's leg was in the way, so it would be inconclusive and not enough to over turn.

Though, yeah, that's an automatic booth review I thought.

Since last night? I didn't stay up until the end of the game, but apparently Atlanta didn't protest the call.

Either of our arguments is nit-picking since it's too close to call, IMO.

Which would be why the call on the field stands.

Didn't watch the video...However.

All scoring plays are reviewed by instant replay, so it goes to show you how bad the officiating is in the NFL. It's blatant in some instances. I'm not going to go out and say that the NFL is fixed, but it seems fairly apparent to me that some teams are heavily favored with some of the playcalling.

Also, the Falcons, I believe, were out of timeouts/challenges? And shit. :island14:

Officials also missed a pretty blatant facemask when on the play when the Falcons were called for holding, which took them out of field goal range late in the game. If that was called the outcome might have been different.

See, yet more proof the Patriots have to cheat to win. :D

And we might want to consider that the game-winning TD was not a fourth-down play, so the Patriots had other chances to score or at least to get a field goal.

This. The white line itself is part of the end zone.

the anti-Trumpers don't know this; and wouldn't believe you if you informed them of it.

Oh, and btw................... "white line" is racist.

Dude they get all new everything when OT begins, and at any rate that play was reviewed and was clearly a TD. And they had more downs anyway.

That shit is missed on like every play. :Jeff '79:

And part of that is because the game has gotten to pussified. :yesnod:

Facemask would have been called on BOTH players. See if you can find that play and review. Offsetting penalties if it were called at all.

EDIT: Disregard, different play.

Was surprised they didn't even try to do a review of the play. Before there was any chance, they popped the confetti & let everyone storm the field. At that point it's too late to try & do a review.

Even though they're not my team, was rooting for the Falcons. Really classy move by the team owner to take all Falcon employees (over 500 people) and their +1 to the game for free. :seasix:

I can't see the video at work, but they showed it several times during the broadcast, and it was clearly a touchdown.

The biggest error was Atlanta's play calling.

I watched very closely when they showed the replays and I was convinced it was a TD and though that confirming the call was the correct decision.

At worst it would be upheld because there isn't indisputable evidence it was not a TD.

Also had they called him down at the inch line NE would have punched it in subsequently anyway. Atlanta had already accepted defeat before OT even started.

Here's a fact that defies logic: The Patriots were behind for every second of the game...but they won.

That was 100% a touchdown.

If you want to get picky, this should have been a penalty on the second 2-pt conversion.

Two players are blocking, and the ball has barely left Brady's hand...

Pass was completed behind the line of scrimmage. Legal play by rule. Had a same play in the Rose Bowl.

Behind the line, so it is a legal screen pass.

Monday Night, Romo had 4 INTs in the first half...at least one was returned for a TD...maybe two. :yesnod:

Good point. Let me put it this way: The Patriots were never ahead.
