Actions have consequences, kids. Why not protest the thing that makes this temporary ban necessary.....radial Islam. There are plenty of Wahhabi mosques around town. Why not tell them about it?
Anybody remember a movie called The Siege, with Bruce Willis? This reminds me of exactly the type of protest the terrorist was going to blow up in that show.

Funny how these same people won't "give up their security" to support the Second Amendment, but they want everyone else to give up our security so they can pretend that Islam is not a threat....at least, until the next episode of "workplace violence."
ACLU won a stay on the ban.

Gee, that's great news....for ISIS, Al-Quaeda, etc. as they now have some time to get their operatives into the US while this is being litigated.

A great example is ole boy facebook with punk ass. He doesn't want a wall/border with Mexico but is currently living with one in Cali and trying to get one built at his compound in Hawaii. Hypocrite much?
Seems a boat load of people are hacked off about.
I haven't looked at the details to say it's good/bad/etc...
The countries the ban was for are all listed by the US as state sponsors of terrorism. Yes, absolutely, let's keep allowing them here without extreme vetting. The temporary moratorium was designed specifically to give us a little breathing room to actually DO that vetting.

First of all, I support trump. However, i think his ban should have been devised like the court order. It is only reasonable.
I think Trump and his advisors knew the court would take that rationall approach. I think he was grandstanding to show he would do what he promised. And, I think it makes him look foolish.

I wonder how those stupid protesters would feel if a bunch of muzzies blew them all to hell. Oh, the irony. People in this country are SOOOOOOO DUMB.....

The Stay is only for those with Green cards and visas now. It doesn't have any effect on the ban on new refugees and mew visas will still be held up.

I read a funny post on FB this morning from one of my less intelligent friends, it started out like this:
"Americans with green cards....."
I stopped reading after the word cards.
You're not an American if you have a green card, you're a resident, and you aren't American until at least 5 years after you obtain a green card, and then apply for and obtain citizenship.
It's idiocy like this that causes these ridiculous protests. "what are you protesting?" "so that Americans with green cards can get into the country"
smh

These people are conditioned to believe that once an immigrant is living in the US, legally or otherwise, they are considered "new Americans".
As a green card holder, I still consider myself a Canadian, because I am not a US Citizen.

So much misinformation about this order. First, Trump only specifically named one country (Syria) and the DHS added the other six since they were already designated as "countries of interest" for having high rates of exported jihadis. Essentially Trump said "Dear DHS, you are allowed to follow the current law now." People that have green cards will be able to sail through compared to someone who just comes over from Syria and has no documentation whatsoever (like almost all of them) and as Germany found out, if they do have passports they are quite often forgeries. After all, ISIS had access to a few consulates when they took over entire cities, and that means they had blank passports and the means to create new ones.
Anyway, the media is having their temper tantrum, as was expected. Why aren't these refugees going to Saudi Arabia? Egypt? Turkey? UAE? Qatar? Because they won't take them or if they do, they put them in camps (Turkey) and only serves as a way station to Europe proper. Also why is it so important that these people relocate in a different country? How about go where it's safe in their country? Oh, no, can't have that. It's not who we are. Oh baloney sausage, there's no precedent for us having to take in refugees from just anywhere whenever they want to show up at our doorstep. We have tens of thousands of homeless veterans in this country for crying out loud. Maybe start taking care of them and cleaning our own house before allowing dirt poor people with no skills other than firing an AK-47 at infidels here.

Just for example, here is what Saudi Arabia is doing.

They even have an empty tent city that has plumbing, AC, and electric service. It could hold 3,000,000 people. It sits empty about 11 months out of the year. I guess they use it for the haj (people coming to Mecca at a certain time every year) and if they wanted they could take in these refugees and put them there. But they won't do that, because they're not total idiots.

And finally, these people aren't coming here to be productive citizens. They are coming here to live on the dole (https://twitter.com/infolibnews/status/825702406600142848), and they want sharia law and all that jazz. Obama only took in 0.5% Syrian Christians when they are the most persecuted class of people in Syria and are a pretty good size percentage of the general population. At least if they come over they aren't going to be bringing radical Islamic sympathies, probably the exact opposite.

American ??
Seems like the ACLU isn't looking out for the Americans in this case. :island14:
And claiming "non-partisan" is a joke at best.

Years ago, I requested help from the ACLU. Our city has a pet license (read: pet tax) ordinance. They had the dog catchers out going door to door looking for unlicensed (read: untaxed) pets. I was told they were peeking in fenced back yards, looking in windows, and they were definitely knocking on doors (got that info from my neighbors, and second hand from my vet, who told me others had talked about it to him). They knocked on my door, and I answered, having no idea what they wanted. The lady nicely explained the pet license (tax) ordinance and clearly saw my dog. I thanked her for coming by and that's when things got confrontational. It ended up with me insisting that she leave my property. Several days later, I got a nasty demand letter in the mail.
So I called the dog pound and the city manager and they both said the door to door visits were "informational." Curious, then, how I got a demand letter a couple days later, I said. So I wrote the TX Attorney General, the ACLU, and maybe some other agency and stated that my city was actively violating the 4th Amendment rights of its citizens. If it had been cops going door to door looking for violations, that might have made things more clear.
In any event, the point of the story is that I NEVER heard back from the ACLU, not even a form letter to say they could not help, which is what I got from the TX Attorney General.
I thought I had a pretty clear case of government violating the rights of its citizenry.....but apparently that didn't register on the ACLU's radar.
Just remember the founder of the ACLU said this in 1927
"Communism, of course, is the goal."
So when do all these loving liberals open their own homes to these Refugees? I am sure that these people will be more than happy to learn American values and such in your house. And when they don't they will kill you. It's a Win/Win for those of us who oppose them.

These idiots say it'll lead to terrorists recruitment.
When people in these countries are shouting Death to America, you shouldn't have to worry about "hurting someone's feelings".
History lesson. President Jimmy Carter, Democrat, banned Librans during the hostage crisis. No one protested against that.

Trump is 100% right in taking this action. Thank God someone in Washington had the backbone to.
Two gunmen stormed an Islamic center in Quebec City and opened fire, killing at least six people and wounding eight others Sunday. This on the heels of their prime minister welcoming Muslims to the country.
Extreme times call for extreme measures. It's not prejudice, but prudence, IMO.

And to answer those who say "But these countries haven't sent any terrorists here but other countries not on the list have!" Well, this is where they are now. Get it? These are all pretty much failed states with absolutely no way to ask their failed governments for valid information that can be corroborated independently. Therefore these places attract jihadis that would want to come over here. Roughly 70% of all refugees have been military age men. Also the war in Syria is winding down, Saudi Arabia has agreed to help the US set up safe zones in Syria and Yemen for these refugees to go so that they can actually return back to their homes, or at least home country.

Protesters are protesting for the love of protesting. They don't have a clue to the facts; nor do they care.
