of a race car without carpet or insulation. :leaving:

I knew I smelled something funny and suspected that to be the culprit. At least my cookies are intact. :sneaks:

No carpet or insulation? Savage.

I hope you at least kept the a/c and cd player. Oh, and power windows and locks.

A/C intact. Nav/CD player, along with airbags being pulled this weekend. Power doors and windows still work.

Driver's side has heat shield installed. Passenger does not. Hence cooked bags.

It's so much easier to go full race car when you have another identical street car at your disposal.

When I had my C6 I always said if Chevrolet didn't want us to eat in our Corvettes they would not have put a burrito oven in the console.

How much you want for the Nav unit?

I plan on keeping it, as it will work as a backup for the '09. The one in my '06 was failing, and they are known to fail, so having another one on hand is good insurance. Especially since they are about $1,400 at the dealership.

Good to know about the failure issue, I may just stick with the non-nav then, I only wanted it for a better info display from the PAL unit

That unit is the THIRD one that is in the '08. Having said that, I believe that the failures were more indicative of racing with discs installed into the device.

If I were you, I'd much prefer an aftermarket system. They are SO MUCH nicer and way less expensive. The factory one really is a decade behind what it should be in terms of looks and features.

Always fun to get on the weight removal plan. Un-sprung weight and batteries are the 2 biggest gains to be had IMO. Although reducing un-sprung weight is the costly option.
