The last man to step foot on the moon has passed away. I had the amazing pleasure of meeting him and speaking to him when he came back to speak at Purdue, where he himself went through the ROTC program and received his commission into the Navy. A small Purdue flag that he carried with him on his trip hangs in the Navy lounge on campus. What an amazing man and a true hero.

RIP Captain Cernan... and BOILER UP. :halfmast:

I got to see the launch of Apollo 17. A American hero. May he rest in peace and be blessed by God.:sadangel::halfmast::patriot:
