Fiat Chrysler announces $1 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing, 2,000 new jobs (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/01/08/fiat-chrysler-announces-1-billion-investment-in-u-s-manufacturing-2000-new-jobs.html)
Fiat Chrysler said Sunday it would spend $1 billion on U.S. manufacturing, including modernizing plants in Michigan and Ohio, in a move that’s set to add 2,000 new jobs, Reuters reported.
According to the company’s plan, the plant in Warren, Michigan will be made capable of producing a pickup truck currently built in Mexico.
The Warren plant will make the new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer large SUVs. A plant in Toledo, Ohio also will get new equipment to make a new Jeep pickup.
Nope...
still not tired of winning.

I called Dow 20,000 before the 20th a day or so after Election Day.
How about 22,000 by the end of the year?!

But, but, but how can that be? The Liberals predicted tough times with a Trump election.

They might have to get a real job. That's tough.

Will the Wagoneer look like this? We'll just have to wait, but not too long, apparently...

And, in one way, they were correct.
The job market is about to get even more crowded for Washington Democrats, as thousands of Obama appointees join the hundreds of Clinton campaign staffers looking for employment.

I'm concerned that as Americans go back to work and get off food stamps and unemployment, the economy will suffer.

In other news, I have friends moving to DC because they expect job opportunities to pop up with Trump's people in. One friend in particular is in the banking sector.

The OP was giving him credit by use of the statement about not tired of winning. That's my opinion, anyway.
Also consider Trump's statement that "It's finally happening" when in fact Fiat Chrysler has spent 9.6 billion on plants in the US and created 25,000 jobs since 2009. "It continues to happen" would be more accurate.:cert:

Apples and Oranges. You didn't just get elected President after running on a platform of bringing jobs to the US. Also, see my edit on my last post.
And for the record, I never said Trump took credit for it. I just posted a link that says Fiat Chrysler seem to think he was trying to.:seasix:

It isn't necessary for the incoming Administration to be directly involved to be able to claim credit. What has become clear is the messages the two administrations sent to the business community. For the outgoing administration, it was pretty much "if you aren't involved in renewable energy projects, we're gonna regulate and tax the living crap out of you here." The incoming administration has sent very clear signals that America will be open for business again. A tax structure that makes sense, a reduced role of a variety of Federal Regulators, and some strong disincentives on the table should a company decide to move manufacturing across borders.
Consider Black & Decker.
In remarks to investors during a Thursday conference call, Stanley Black & Decker CEO James Loree said it just makes “business sense” to move manufacturing back to the U.S., especially given the uncertainty of trade relations with China and Mexico, USA Today reported.
“It’s going to be advisable to have more manufacturing in the U.S.,” Loree added.
“We believe this is an excellent opportunity to re-Americanize and revitalize this legendary brand,” he concluded.
I'd love to be a mouse in the corner over at Toyota after this blurb appeared in the WSJ.
DETROIT—Donald Trump blasted Toyota for its plan to build a new Mexican plant, just hours after the head of the Japanese auto maker signaled a willingness to work with the new administration.
So you tell me- should Trump and his minions take responsibility for this manufacturing shift, or not? It's not just one or two companies- it's turning into a "thing."

The story in your OP about Fiat Chrysler hardly represents a "shift" for a company who has spent 6.9 billion on plants and created 25,000 jobs in the last eight years. It is the continuation of a long term strategy they have had for years.
I'll reserve judgement on Trumps job creating skills after he's been in office for awhile. In a nation that at times has added millions of jobs in a year, a few thousand jobs isn't even a blip on the radar. Like you, I hope it is a trend that goes on for many years to come.
