My wife has worked in the same place for the last 10 years. Over the last month the signs have been there that the doors would be closing soon.
My wife stayed on as did everyone else. Looking around for something but not serious as they hoped for a cash influx. Today the doors closed for the final time at 5:00pm.
At 6:00pm the owner of the company taking over all their accounts came to the store to pick up the computer with all the customer information in it as promised by her old boss. He also offered my wife a full time job doing the same thing she was doing. :hurray: 2 bucks less per hour, but that's negligible at this point. She was officially out of work for 1 hour and 15 minutes. :hurray: :dance:

Working is a great thing in this economy. :cheers:Sure as heck is. My position was eliminated a few weeks ago. FORTUNATELY I was retained with the company but right now bouncing around different positions until they figure out what to do with me. Been here 12 years.
