Kid's really good, but I have to think that maybe his folks are in an insane asylum somewhere!

I wanted drum lessons, but my folks insisted on piano lessons, the problem was that the teacher was into classical music, I finally fought my way to the Jazz/Blues teacher that I totally LOVED to play, much more interesting when in Jr. High....but my folks got pissed off and dropped the lessons entirely...oh well.....:issues::dance:

Had no idea I've had drum kits in my garage for over 20+ years. :D

At least you got to take lessons. My sister was forced to take piano lessons, she hated it & quit within 6 months. I really wanted to take piano lessons & my stepfather wouldn't let me. :slap:

My sympathies. :sadangel:
For years growing up I'd ask for a guitar every year for my birthday & for Christmas, never getting one. Had a cousin & an uncle that both played, so lessons would have been free.
About 6 months after the piano lessons denial a guy going door to door was selling accordions. Stepfather invites the guy in, the guy does his big demo & sales pitch. Stepfather was all excited & tells me "if you want it I'll buy it". I told him he must be joking & walked out of the room. Moved back in with my natural father less than a year later. :yesnod:

My sis is 13 years older than I am.....and the folks had this Spinet piano, and I was going to play classical music or nothing....never learned how to play any instrument as a result.....did enjoy a few Jazz/Blues riffs on the piano for a short while....oh well....
The piano finally sold in a estate sale some 30 years later.....:issues:
