This sequence was shot in 1080p by some Americans and starts off at the end of the earthquake, driving through town to heed the tsunami warning, and then filming the incoming waves from higher ground.

The most bizarre part is that they were filming the ocean, not noticing the slow rise in sea level (which is evident if you fast-forward and watch the island with the lighthouse) and they didn't even notice the town slowly flooding behind them.

But then at 7:50 into the video, the first real wave comes in over a matter of seconds and obliterates everything.

Wow. Not so much a wave that you can see. Just the water keeps rising and taking everything in its path out. :sadangel:

What happened in Japan just shows that what takes man years to build only takes mother nature minutes to destroy. May God bless the Japanese people.:sadangel:
