I hate spiders.. I tried to overcome this issue and bought a pet tarantula; named him "Beast". He lived about 2 1/2 years, fed him live crickets and various insects.

I COULD NEVER PICK HIM UP; didn't ease the fear or hatred... but he was a cool pet. He even molted once, shedding his exo-skeleton.

They say that most spiders are non-poisonous to humans. That does NOT mean they are harmless. They all can make you turn and run into a tree.
